Business needs
The online store of the Mam Okres brand is a WooCommerce project designed for demanding women. The implementation of the eCommerce portal for such a demanding group of participants required many activities, including:
- conducting eCommerce workshops;
- preparation of the full information architecture of the online store;
- creating UX / UI projects for the eCommerce website;
- implementation of prepared graphic designs on the eCommerce WooCommerce platform;
- installation of key modules of the online store;
- maintenance and development of the WooCommerce project after its completion.
The most important challenge that the Blue Owl team faced in the project was to create a unique customer experience in the eCommerce area.
The main goal of the project
The key goal of the online store project for the Mam Okres brand was to build a unique user experience in the shopping path ( customer journey ).
Challenges
When designing an online store for the Mam Okres brand, the design team encountered many challenges related to the preparation of an eCommerce website at the highest level:
- thorough analysis of the target group of users;
- benchmarking analysis of the competition;
- preparation of the complete information architecture of the eCommerce website;
- creating individual UX / UI projects of the online store;
- implementation of all graphic designs on a dedicated template based on WordPress WooCommerce;
- implementation of online store modules.
The final result of the work of the Blue Owl team was the creation of a unique, modern eCommerce website that meets the needs of the target group of users on the WooCommerce engine.


Project description
The process of creating an online store for the Mam Okres brand began with defining the needs of the brand's target group. Due to the relatively new area of operation of the brand on the market, the needs of the target group of customers were unclear. A thorough analysis of the online store user persona brought the project team closer to the preparation of key requirements related to the eCommerce platform being created.
The next step was a thorough benchmarking analysis, which was focused on examining competitive solutions and searching for valuable benchmarks that could generate significant added value for the brand. The last step of the research and development process was the creation of a Customer Journey Map, which presented a scheme of building user experience in contact with the Mam Okres brand at every stage of the decision-making process.
Thanks to the eCommerce workshops, the design team prepared the complete information architecture of the online store, as well as the list of visual and functional requirements. Based on the prepared documents and the knowledge gathered during the eCommerce workshops, a fully dedicated graphic design of the online store was created, both in terms of the usable (UX) and visual (UI) layer, which was additionally equipped with a complete design system for the entire eCommerce website.
The last stage of work was the implementation of the designed UX and UI mockups on the open source WordPress WooCommerce platform. During the implementation of the eCommerce website, in addition to the visual layer corresponding to the requirements related to a dedicated graphic design, a functional layer was also implemented. The online store has been linked with key payment, shipping and marketing service modules. The whole thing was finally implemented on the client's production server.

Solutions
The most important elements that contributed to the final shape of the WooCommerce eCommerce platform for the Mam Okres brand include:
- knowledge and insights from eCommerce workshops;
- creating individual UX mockups of the eCommerce website;
- preparation of a complete design system for the entire shop platform;
- creating dedicated graphic designs (UI);
- implementation of the whole on the WordPress WooCommerce platform;
- optimization of the loading speed of the online store.
Conducting a properly prepared design process allowed, as a last resort, to create a fully dedicated, unique WooCommerce store focused on the needs of the brand's customers.
